Prior to joining Bessemer Trust, Mr. Fisher was a Senior Vice President with U.S. Trust Company, which he joined in 1998. Previously, Mr. Fisher was a Vice President and Department Head in corporate lending at Mellon Bank, Maryland National Bank and its predecessor, American Security Bank. He began his career in the executive training program at Riggs Bank in 1981.

Mr. Fisher is a member of the Board of Directors of Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC), the owner and provider of the GMAT®, where he serves as Chair of the Investment and Finance Committee, and is a member of the Audit, and Compensation Committees. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Wolf Trap Foundation where he serves as Chair of the Nominating Committee. Mr. Fisher is a member of the Board of Visitors at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business. He is also a member of the British-North American Committee (BNAC) of the Atlantic Council. In addition, Mr. Fisher is member of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement. He earned a B.S.B.A. in Finance from Georgetown University and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
