Mr. Segui-Clausen is a Principal and Head of Latin American and International Business Development based in our Miami office.

Prior to joining Bessemer in 2008, Mr. Segui spent a total of five years with Fidelity Investments Institutional Services Company. He served as Senior Vice President, Institutional Sales and Business Manager, responsible for the Miami office.

Previously, Mr. Segui-Clausen was with Pioneer Investments for six years. He served as Senior Vice President and Head of the Americas, based in Miami, and was responsible for all of Pioneer’s distribution networks for offshore markets in the Americas. Earlier, Mr. Segui-Clausen was Senior Vice President Business Development & Strategic Planning Europe, based in Paris, France. He was responsible for the recommendation and implementation of strategic initiatives to consolidate and further develop divisions in Germany, United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Spain. He joined Pioneer as Vice President of Offshore Marketing in Boston.

He began his career as Director of Product Management and Development for Fidelity Investments Institutional Services Company’s offshore business unit based in Boston.

Mr. Segui-Clausen earned his B.A. from U.C.L.A. and his M.A., also from U.C.L.A., where he wrote his masters thesis on the merits of the Chilean private pension system. He is fluent in Spanish, French and has knowledge of German and Portuguese.
