Mr. Stern has overall responsibility for investments, including asset allocation, strategic portfolio direction, and research. He is Chairman of the Investment Policy and Strategy Committee. Prior to joining Bessemer in 2004, Mr. Stern was Head of the Wealth Management Group at Bernstein Investment Research & Management, now a unit of AllianceBernstein, serving clients with assets of $10 million or more. Mr. Stern has also served as Director of Acquisitions for a division of PepsiCo, Inc. and as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company.

Mr. Stern earned a B.S. in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia.
