Mr. Hilton is the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Bessemer Group, Incorporated, The Bessemer Trust Companies and Bessemer Investor Services. Mr. Hilton joined Bessemer Trust in 1993 to open and manage the firm's Chicago office. After successfully establishing Bessemer Trust in Chicago, he transferred to company headquarters in 2000. As head of the New York office, Mr. Hilton was responsible for overseeing client acquisition and client account management in the Northeast, Central and Western regions. He was subsequently appointed Chief Operating Officer, at which point he assumed oversight responsibility for firm-wide client acquisition, account management and the delivery of client services including legacy, tax and financial planning. In 2002 Mr. Hilton was named President and Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to joining Bessemer Trust, Mr. Hilton was a managing director for The Deerpath Group of Lake Forest, Illinois. Earlier he served as an executive director of Merrill Lynch & Co's Private Capital Group in Chicago. He began his career at Citibank in 1969 and served in offices in New York City, Syracuse, Houston and Rio de Janeiro.

Mr. Hilton received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Vermont. He serves on the Boards of Directors of the Mebane Charitable Foundation, the Churchview Building Corporation, and the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars. Mr. Hilton also serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of Vermont.
